We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, use our services, or contact me.
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services, communicate with you, and comply with legal obligations.
We use PostHog to collect usage analytics across our website and browser extension. This includes events such as button clicks and feature usage. Logged-in users may be identified by email to help support accounts and improve the experience. Analytics data is sent to PostHog's servers (us.i.posthog.com).
The MyOG.social browser extension uses the current page URL only when you open the side panel or ask it to analyze a page. The URL is sent to MyOG.social servers to fetch Open Graph tags and generate previews. For local files and local development URLs, the extension reads the page's meta tags in your browser instead.
The extension stores small settings locally in Chrome, such as the selected preview tab, onboarding and rating prompt state, anonymous preview count, and, if you sign in, your MyOG.social login token and account details. This local data is used to keep the extension working between sessions.
This policy explains how data is handled. The Terms of Service explain acceptable use, account responsibilities, and service limitations.
We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with service providers we use to run MyOG.social, such as PostHog for analytics and hosting/infrastructure providers that process requests to the MyOG.social service.
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information. You may also opt out of certain communications from us.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact me at hboon@myog.social.
